On Thursday (6th February), England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) proclaimed that Jofra Archer would not participate in the upcoming Sri Lanka Test series as well as the forthcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). The pacer ouster from IPL will cost his franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR). Archer is a game-changer for the Jaipur based franchise and his exclusion will surely lessen the chances for them to win the title.
Jofra Archer Positive on his comeback:
The England speedster has surfaced with the stress fracture in the elbow. The likely cause of his injury is his hyperextension at delivery which gives him an extra pace. Archer is likely to be out of action for at least three months. However, he has given hope to the fans that they might see him soon in the cricket ground.

Jofra Archer has been suffering from regular injuries in the recent past. Now, it is another speed breaker in his career. After playing the first Test against South Africa in December last year, he went back to the UK as he faced sore in the right elbow.
After going some tests, ECB has confirmed that he is suffering from a stress fracture in his right elbow. Now, he will undergo the rehabilitation program with the ECB medical team. It is expected that he will participate against West Indies in the home Test series which is scheduled in June.
Huge blow for RR:
England is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka to play two-match Test series, commencing from March 19. Whereas the much-awaited IPL is likely to begin in late March. Last year, RR finished second-last in the points table but this year it will be more difficult for them to compete. The franchise may find a replacement for him but very few can influence the game like Archer.
