The injuries of Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn might have listened to the prayers of the fans, as the duo are recovering very well for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. The head coach of the team Ottis Gibson confirmed the news by stating that the duo will be available for the grand event.
South African speedster Kagiso Rabada was on fire in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. Rabada has scalped 25 wickets in 12 matches but missed Delhi Capitals’ (DC) penultimate group match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to a stiff back and later, went back home without featuring in the home game at Delhi.
Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada is on track – Ottis Gibson
More or less same with Dale Steyn. He made a huge impact for Royal Challengers Bangalore with his presence in the playing XI. His aggressive bowling and the experience under pressure helped RCB to taste success but unfortunately, the inflammation in his shoulder saw him walk back.

Speaking of their injuries, Ottis Gibson quoted that both the players will be available for the ICC World Cup 2019. He added that Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada are recovering well enough, which would see them play India right in the first game of the tournament.
“There was an issue with KG [Rabada] and there was an issue with Dale, but we feel that those guys are on track. There’s nothing that people should be alarmed about. They’re going to both make full recoveries and be able to take their place at the World Cup,” he said.
Anrich Nortje would be back:
Further, Ottis Gibson quoted that Anrich Nortje, who ruled out of the tournament would be fine within 4-6 weeks, which would help South Africa get his services if any of the fast bowlers get injured during the latter half of the tournament.

”He’s obviously devastated, but the World Cup is seven weeks long,” the coach said. I’m told by the medics that his injury is four to six weeks. We still have the opportunity to go and pick him if something happens at the back-end of the tournament if his thumb has healed.”
Well, it would be interesting to see whether Dale Steyn, Rabada could make into the playing XI. Currently, they are one of the best bowling attacks going into the ICC World Cup 2019. They covered all the bases with quality players hoping to get their first World Cup.
