Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul (46 balls) –

KL Rahul – KL Rahul made a flying start to his limited overs career. He was up against a strong West Indies team for the first time but instead of taking the pressure, he came up with an epic performance. He scored a century off just 46 balls. He brought up his century with a six, thus becoming just second Indian to score a century with a six in all three formats.

Faf du Plessis – Richard Levi’s teammate Faf Du Plessis once missed out on breaking the record of the fastest century by a small margin of just one ball. Just before the 50 over world cup, the African team was playing West Indies at their home. It was the second T20 of the three matches’ series; African team after losing the first one tried their level best to win this one to level the series but lost the match despite a century from Du Plessis.
Plessis smashed century off 46 balls missing the record by just one ball or it would have been the fastest century that time. He amassed 5 sixes and 11 four during his innings.
Unfortunately, both the centuries came in a losing cause.
