Former Indian cricketer Madan Lal supports Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria. Kaneria spoke about the discrimination he went through in the Pakistan team after Shoaib Akhtar becomes vocal about the differences Hindu faces in his country’s team.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar released a video on his Youtube channel which has become the talk of the two countries. In that video, he said that the Pakistani team disagreed with eating food with Kaneria just because he was a Hindu.

In responding to videos, Kaneria assent with Shoaib views and openly said that he would surely release the name of players who had misbehaved with him in the team.

Madan Lal has raised the voice in support of Kaneria. He said that the lack of education is the major difference between India and Pakistan. Lal has expressed that this behaviour from the Pakistan player for talented players like Kaneria is not acceptable.

“There are just two Hindus that have represented Pakistan in cricket. I have noticed that whenever Hindu players represented Pakistan, they tended to be attracted more towards us, they liked talking to us. I have toured Pakistan, I have seen Hindus in that country, the difference was obviously there,” Lal told ANI.

“As team-mates, you need to support each other. The difference between India and Pakistan players is the lack of education there. Players in both countries are quite talented, but lack of education is the main difference,” he added.

“First of all, I would say whatever Shoaib Akhtar has said, it is right as he played alongside Kaneria in the team. It is very unfortunate if it has happened, as Kaneria has been one of the best spinners to come out of Pakistan. These things are not good to hear about,” Lal said.

The spinner Danish Kaneria has represented Pakistan in 79 international matches. He has picked 261 wickets in the 61 Test matches, and 15 wickets in 18 ODIs.
