The chief of the selection committee for Team India, MSK Prasad stressed that the balance in the team holds significant importance. Owing to a winning combination, he added the major events like the 2019 World Cup needs the squad relying on the blend of experience and youth.
“To win mega events we need to have the right mix of experience and youthful exuberance,” Prasad told ToI.

From Rishabh Pant to Kuldeep Yadav, the youth has been enough confident to take their team over the line.
Pant was the second highest run-getter during the four-match Test series against Australia. The wrist-spinner Kuldeep alongside Yuzvendra Chahal continues their domination in the limited-overs fold.
Besides, Virat Kohli-led India has enough to boast about in terms of young blood. The young guns could leave an impact in the quadrennial event in England and Wales.
The mega event will kick off with a game between England and South Africa on May 30 in London.
Concurrently, the Men in Blue saw the youngsters stepping up to give their best irrespective of the circumstances.
Also, the 43-year-old former cricketer Prasad knows the value of the striking a balance. He asserted he is hopeful that the selection committee will give best to rely on the stable team. Meanwhile, the healthy competition within a team has further made case tough for the national selection committee ahead of the ODI showpiece.
Young guns are mature:

Prasad addressed that the youngsters know what their duty is within a team. To be precise, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has instilled faith among the youngsters.
“I am sure our committee will strike that balance. Youngsters who have reached this level know exactly what is expected of them,” Prasad added.
On the other hand, Prasad believes the packed schedule in contemporary cricket has further seen the youth establishing themselves by shoulder the responsibility at the behest.
“In today’s world, players are exposed to so many pressure-filled tours and tournaments prior to getting into the national squads. They are much more seasoned and mature than earlier,” Prasad concluded.
