While Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has just approved the Pakistan national cricket team’s upcoming tour in England, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also clarified that the families of the players and other members can’t travel in this tour.
Pakistan is getting to return to international cricket after handling the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While England will soon busy to host West Indies from the early next month, Pakistan will later tour in England for the three-match Test series and three-match T20I series. The Test series between England and Pakistan will be the part of the 2019-21 ICC World Test Championship.

The rescheduling of Pakistan tour of England hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the tour is likely to run between August and September. The PCB has already announced the 29-member squad and 14-member officials for this upcoming England tour who will travel the UK by a special chartered flight.
The entire squad can’t interact with their families in person until the tour is completed in September: PCB
Now, the PCB has clarified that no family member will be allowed in this tour. Even if the family member reaches and stays in England separately, there will be no opportunity to meet with them until the tour ends.
A source from the PCB claimed according to PTI, “The board has made it clear to players their families can’t travel with them and also explained to them it would be of no use even if their families reached and stayed in England separately. The entire squad can’t interact with their families in person until the tour is completed in September.”
The entire forthcoming Pakistan tour of England will run in a bio-secure environment. After landing in England, all the tourists will spend around two weeks in quarantine in Birmingham. Then, they will start their practice for the international series in this tour.

The source added, “This time the board has told the players that as soon as they reach England they will spend around 14 days in quarantine in Birmingham before they move on to Manchester after staying in isolation and in a bio-secure environment for around three to four weeks for their practice and training.”
Pakistan cricketer Haris Sohail always tours with his wife during the foreign tours since the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. During that global tournament, Sohail reported spotting a ghost in his hotel room in New Zealand. Since then, he got special permission from the board to carry his wife during the foreign tours as he felt uncomfortable to travel or stay alone.
But due to the new rule, while Sohail can’t travel with his wife, he has reportedly withdrawn his name from this tour.
