Ravichandran Ashwin Strongly Hints To Leave His IPL Team Kings XI Punjab

Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is currently in high talks to shift his Indian Premier League (IPL) team from Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to Delhi Capitals (DC). Recently, the 33-year-old has strongly hinted the authenticity of this speculation.
In the last two IPL seasons, Ravichandran Ashwin not only played for KXIP, but he also led the side. However, in both these season, his leadership failed to improve KXIP’s performances. KXIP finished in the seventh position in IPL 2018 and sixth position in IPL 2019. In these two seasons, Ashwin played 28 IPL matches and took 25 wickets. While he took 10 wickets in IPL 2018, he bagged 15 wickets in IPL 2019.
Since the trading window has begun after the IPL 2019, Ashwin is in high talk to move away from KXIP. The Delhi franchise has shown high interest on this veteran off-spinner. However, there is no official confirmation yet about this news.
However, recently, Ashwin has strongly hinted to leaving his IPL team KXIP. Earlier, Ashwin included the name of Kings XI Punjab in his twitter biography. But, in his present twitter biography, there is no information about his IPL side.
Ravichandran Ashwin has rich records in IPL career
Before the two-year IPL suspension for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ravichandran Ashwin was a crucial member of that team. After playing 97 IPL matches for CSK, Ashwin took 90 wickets. He is still the second most wicket-taker for CSK in IPL history. However, he is still the leading wicket-taker for CSK in overall as he managed to pick up 120 wickets in 121 matches for this team.
The off-spinner played a crucial role for CSK to win two IPL trophies (2010 and 2011) and two Champions League T20 trophies (2010 and 2014).
In 2016, Ashwin served now-defunct IPL side Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS). He picked up 10 wickets in that season. Though he was a member of that side in IPL 2017 too, Ashwin missed the entire season due to a sports hernia injury.
After playing 139 IPL matches, Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 125 wickets (average 26.48). At present, Ashwin is the seventh most wicket-taker in IPL history.
