Want to be a professional cricketer?
During the upcoming Australia tour in the late this year, India will play their first away day/night Test match and that too against the mighty Australian side, who are formidable in this new format. Recently, the Indian opener Rohit Sharma has opened up his feeling about this special match.
As the fans are missing cricket at the present moment, the upcoming India tour of Australia during the 2020/21 Australian summer is going to be a very exciting event. According to the FTP schedule, India will play the three-match T20I series, four-match Test series and three-match ODI series against the hosts during this tour.
While the Cricket Australia (CA) has already announced the full fixture of this programme, it can be changed later but they are confident enough to manage this crucial tour very well despite the ongoing pandemic.
Adelaide will host Australia-India day/night Test match
During the four-match Test series in this tour, which will also be the part of the 2019-21 ICC World Test Championship, the second Test will be the day/night Test, which will be played with the pink ball. The Adelaide Oval (Adelaide) will host this special Test between 11th and 15th December 2020.
Australia have played the most number of day/night Tests as they have already played seven such Tests and won all those matches.
Meanwhile, India are still a very inexperienced team in this new format as they have played an only day/night Test last November and that too at home (against Bangladesh at Kolkata), where they dominated and won by an innings & 46 runs.
So, the upcoming Adelaide Test will be India’s first away day/night Test. The fans are undoubtedly excited to experience this Test series, including the day/night Test at Adelaide.
