Today the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar turns 47. However, while the coronavirus pandemic has covered the entire world that created a global crisis, Tendulkar has decided to not celebrate his latest birthday. He feels that it is not the right time to celebrate anything.
Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut on 15th November 1989, at the age of just 16 years and 205 days. He is still the youngest cricketer to make international debut for India. The legendary cricketer spent 24 years in international cricket and dominated for most of the times.
Even more than six years after his international cricket retirement, no one has come closure to his record international runs as well as Test and ODI runs.

47 Tests – Tendulkar played 47 Tests under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin. It was the most number of Test matches that Tendulkar played under any captain.
47 ODIs – Tendulkar played 47 ODIs in Australia, which was also his most number of ODI matches in a country outside India.
47 international matches – Tendulkar played 47 international matches in Europe. It was his second-lowest number of international matches in a continent (lowest record in this list was 31 matches in America).
47 times facing first delivery of the innings – In his international career, Tendulkar faced the first delivery of India’s innings for 47 times, all in ODIs.
47 sixes – Under MS Dhoni‘s captaincy, Tendulkar hit 47 international sixes. It was his second-most international sixes under a captain (105 sixes under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin).
47 ODI wickets – Tendulkar took 47 ODI wickets as a no.5 position bowler.
47 international catches – Tendulkar picked up 47 catches in international cricket during his captaincy (1996-2000).

The right-handed batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored 34357 runs in 782 international innings (664 international matches). In his international career, Tendulkar scored 15921 Test runs (329 innings; 200 matches), 18426 ODI runs (452 innings; 463 matches) and 10 T20I runs (only match).
47th international century – 122 against South Africa during Vadodara ODI on 17th March 2000 (India won by four wickets, with one ball remaining).
47th Test century – 106 against South Africa during Kolkata Test in February 2010 (India won by an innings and 57 runs).
47th ODI century – 120 against England during Bengaluru ODI on 27th February 2011, in the Group Stage of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 (Match tied).

Tendulkar was also a very effective bowler. There are many memories with his versatile bowling. The right-arm bowler picked up 201 international wickets – 46 Test wickets, 154 ODI wickets and only T20I.
