Sourav Ganguly Visits Belur Math To Hand Over Donations
Former Indian captain and present Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has recently visited Belur Math to hand over the donation amid coronavirus pandemic.
Sourav Ganguly was one of the best captains in Indian cricket history. During the crisis period in the national team, Ganguly took charge of the team and guided to the top position in the international cricket with his brave decisions.
After the cricket career, he has experienced many roles, including the administration in Indian cricket. In last October, Ganguly was elected as the President of the BCCI. Since then, while he has faced some tough times, he has handled most of the situations in impressive ways.
Now, like the world, the country is also battling against the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus. With the time progress, the virus is spreading more and more places along with increasing the death reports. While more 900,000 people have been affected in this virus, more than 45,000 deaths have already been reported. In India, more than 1,500 coronavirus cases have been reported, including 45 deaths.
Many countries are going through the complete lockdown process to break this virus chain. India is also following the 21-day complete lockdown period which will run till 14th April 2020. While many Indians are struggling to get necessary things, including foods, in this struggling period, many citizens have joined in various way to help the needy people.
Sourav Ganguly donated 2000kgs of rice
Recently, Sourav Ganguly visited Belur Math after 25 years. The BCCI President handed over 2000kgs of rice to the Math committee, which will help to the needy people in this crisis moment.

Apart from him, many other people from the Indian cricket family have also come out with the donations in this crisis period. Some of these are Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan etc.
On the other hand, the BCCI has already announced to donate INR 51 crore to PM-CARES Fund.
