The incident of two hat-tricks: During the match between Gloucestershire and Middlesex at Bristol in August 1924, Gloucestershire spinner Charlie Parker had claimed the hat-trick in both innings.

In the first innings, his three consecutive victims were Patsy Hendren, Sir Gubby Allen, and Frank Mann.

In the second innings, his three consecutive victims were Frank Mann, John Guise, and Nigel Haig.

In both innings, Charlie had taken seven wickets each (7/30 and 7/101). In the low-scoring contest, where his team Gloucestershire had been bundled out for just 31 in the first innings, they had still won the match by 61 runs.
