Ajit Agarkar – 8 ducks

Former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar batted in 14 innings in his 9 Tests against Australia, out of which, the right-handed batsman scored a total of 8 ducks, including three pairs. Though the right-arm fast bowler was a very effective lower-order batsman, he had a rough patch against the Aussies.
Moreover, Agarkar once scored a total of 7 consecutive Test ducks against Australia, including four successive Test golden ducks during Australia tour in 1999/2000 summer. Later during 2003/04 Australia tour, when Agarkar ended that horrible run against the Aussies with a single during the first Test of that tour at Brisbane, he raised his bat for opening his scoreboard.
Due to those seven consecutive Test ducks, the Bombay (currently known as Mumbai) star got the nickname of “Bombay Duck”. He got another nickname of “007” due to the same reason.
Agarkar scored only 60 runs in 14 Test innings against this team with an average of 4.28. His best Test score against the Aussies was 19. However, in his overall Test career, while he batted in 39 innings (26 Tests), Agarkar managed only one more duck.
