Another leg-spinner Piyush Chawla made his international debut at the age of 17 years and 75 days during the Mohali Test against England in March 2006. In his debutant Test, Chawla had the bowling figures of 9-1-45-0 and 5.1-2-8-1. The hosts India won that match by nine wickets.

However, Chawla has failed to continue his international career for a long time. He has played three Tests, 25 ODIs and seven T20Is where he has taken seven, 32 and four wickets respectively.
