The legend Sachin Tendulkar has predicted about the Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon. According to him, Lyon will be the most important player in the remainder Ashes 2019.

“My instincts say that @nathlyon421 is going to be the key player for Australia in the remaining part of this Test. #ENGvsAUS” tweeted Sachin ahead of the day three action at the Old Trafford ground.

Lyon performance in the first Test match of the Ashes 2019 was impressive. In first innings, he picked three wickets and in the second inning, he took 6 wickets and gave just 49 runs in 20 overs. In the second Test match, he took three wickets and in the third game, he took 2 wickets.

Nathan Lyon has already played 89 Test matches (excluding ongoing Old Trafford Test) so far and picked up 357 wickets with 15 five-wicket hauls and 2 ten-wicket hauls.

Steve Smith is giving back to back magnificent performance. He has hit 589 runs in total in ongoing Ashes in which he had not played the last test Match and an innings in the second Test match.

He was hit by the Jofra Archer‘s bouncer on the neck during the second Test, and due to concussion, he was ruled out from the third Test match. Marnus Labuschagne became the first concussion substitute who batted in the fourth innings of the second Test.

After Smith’s return in 4th Test match, he hit a double ton (211) and maintained a good partnership with Tim Paine. Mitchell Starc also gave a contribution of 54 runs, and Australia set a good first innings total of 497 runs.
