We have already seen the strong on-field bonding between the Indian wrist-spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Now, we have also got a glimpse of their strong bonding off the field. Indian players are ready to play their first-ever day/night pink-ball Test match. From Friday (22nd November), India and Bangladesh will play this historic Test match at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) which will be also the second and final Test of this series.
The 24-year-old Kuldeep Yadav has great memories at the Eden Gardens (Kolkata). Since 2014, Kuldeep is serving in the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) whose home venue is Eden Gardens (Kolkata).
Moreover, on 21st September 2017, Kuldeep claimed his ODI hat-trick during a match against Australia.
Now, Kuldeep has returned to his very familiar cricket ground once again and that too for the historic international cricket match. He is in the Indian Test squad who are playing in the home Test series against Bangladesh.
Recently, Kuldeep Yadav shared his feeling after returning to one of his favourite venues. He wrote on his one picture with the pink-ball, ““Back at the Eden 😍.Lovely memories here. Excited for our first ever day night test.✌🏻 #PinkBallTest”
One user commented on that post, “Moeen ko Yaad hai na 😂 @kuldeep_18”.
Yuzvendra Chahal soon replied him, “@anrikta tu pehli fursat mein nikal”
It was a disaster experience for Kuldeep Yadav
The social media user was remembering Kuldeep Yadav one of his disaster moment in cricket career. It was the IPL 2019 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) on 19th April 2019. In the 16th over of the first innings of that game, RCB gathered 27 runs against Kuldeep, including Moeen Ali hit 26 runs with three sixes and two fours.
However, on the final ball of that over, Kuldeep dismissed Moeen Ali. Kuldeep Yadav ended that game with the bowling figures of 4-0-59-1.
RCB scored 213/4 (20 overs) in that game, thanks to captain Virat Kohli‘s century (100) and Moeen Ali’s 66 runs. Later, KKR batsmen Nitish Rana (85*) and Andre Russell (65) fought very well but just failed to reach the target as KKR scored 203/5 (20 overs).
