Manchester United Midfielder Anderson Set to Join Pune City FC
Manchester United‘s star midfielder (take it with a pinch of Sarcasm) Anderson is likely to exit the Premier League in the near future. There are some strong speculations that United’s flop is being targeted for a possible switch to the Indian Super League side Pune City FC.
FC Pune City are in search for an extra midfield option ahead of the start of the inaugural edition of ISL. The club officials are hoping to finish off a deal for either Anderson or former Barcelona and Chelsea player Eidur Gudjohnsen.
According to sources, Anderson, who is still 26 will be tempted to join the ranks of experienced old professionals being recruited to Indian football’s newest competition. A loan deal for Anderson until January is the most likely scenario.
FC Pune City CEO Gaurav Modwel had informed that the team is on the lookout for a top quality striker and a midfielder, and would be willing to take Anderson on an initial loan.
Anderson has played over 100 games for United and scored 5 goals. He also represented his national side eight times and also played for some top European clubs like Porto and Florentina.
If he manages to sign for Pune FC, he will be the biggest attraction of the tournament.
