Eric Bailly (Villarreal to Manchester United) – £32m:
The first addition to the squad by Mourinho at Old Trafford, Eric Bailly, has settled into his new team with minimal fuzz. He was in decent form for the Spanish outfit in the previous two seasons and attracted interest from the Old Trafford outfit early in the summer.
However, it is now understood that his value was close to the £15 – £20m and that Manchester United may have overpaid up to £20m in an inflated market to get their man. However, his performances this season have almost justified his price already.
