As reported earlier, the Road to WrestleMania 36 can be heated up with plenty of returns on the card. The surprises should begin by Royal Rumble 2020 where at least a few of them could be stored.

WWE Hall of Famer Edge is almost locked in to make the comeback by throwing himself in the 30-man mix. But that is definitely not the only one return that WWE Universe can expect to happen on that night.

WWE Has Big Plans Over The United States Championship On Raw

During an interview with The Sun, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez confirmed that he will be a part of the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match,

Below is what Velasquez had to offer regarding a special appearance at Royal Rumble,

“Think I’m doing it, right, I think so.

I can win it, hell yeah, that’s my mentality for everything. For everyone as well, that is how your mentality has to be. I’m going in to win this thing.”

Speaking of this brought him to the inevitable question of facing Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble match. Cain Velasquez did not seem to be intimated by the fact that his former nemesis will be standing there as a huge bar in his path. But he would keep trying to get success,

“I just have to keep pushing forward. I am never going to stop fighting to go out there and beat him again.”

Real Reason Why WWE Added Brock Lesnar At 2020 Royal Rumble Match

We should note that Cain Velasquez was last seen on WWE TV at Crown Jewel 2019 PPV. He competed in his debut match in the WWE against Brock Lesnar for the prime title present in sports entertainment only to come up short. Lesnar forced him to tap out with the help of the Kimura Lock after which he had to go into a hiatus.

For now, the speculations are doing round that Cain Velasquez is locked in to make a return to WWE programming at the Royal Rumble match. He would eventually eliminate Brock Lesnar from the contest to set up a rubber match in the future.

Most probably, that match is due for the next Saudi Arabia event set for February 27th. This match was originally supposed to happen at WrestleMania 36. But it seems to be preponed for now.
