Despite being away from the Vince McMahon owned promotion, he is aware of the happenings. So while speaking with Spandex, he noted on his former rival CM Punk coming back to the WWE.

As per his comments the company needs him back that could force more fans to tune into WWE programming. Being one of the mega-stars, WWE would surely want him to use as a marquee attraction,

“WWE sure needs him. You need stars in the business. Good for him for coming back. I just think it was not as big as it could have been or should have been. He’s back for the first time in five years and no one really cares. But I’m sure it will lead to more. I don’t see how it can’t.”
