- Roman Reigns Becoming The Universal Championship
Former Universal Champion Goldberg was scheduled to defend his title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 day II, after winning the gold from “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown back in February. But that match never took place.
WWE filmed the match at the Performance Center that got canceled at the last minute as Reigns pulled himself out of the match amid Coronavirus pandemic due to health concerns. He has a weak immune system that increases the chance to get positive with the COVID-19 virus.
Roman Reigns Reveals WWE Return Not Possible for THIS REASON
Originally, The Big Dog was slated to defeat the WWE Hall Of Famer to become a 2-Time Universal Champion at WrestleMania. But he preferred his health over the big moment after his wife recently gave birth to twins, so he didn’t want to take any unnecessary risk and be around with his family. As a result, Roman could not become the face of the SmackDown brand with the title around his waist.
