John Cena returned to WWE programming to be a part of WrestleMania 36 night II in a match against the Fiend Bray Wyatt. The duo previously met at WrestleMania 30 in 2014 where Cena won the bout. So, the 2020 bout appeared to be a rematch where Wyatt sought revenge in his family territory. The match had a unique gimmick named Firefly Funhouse which was a first-ever concept seen in the WWE.

Throughout the Firefly Funhouse Match, we witnessed different versions of John Cena and Bray Wyatt, including Cena portraying the ‘Hollywood nWo’ version that was a throwback to Hollywood Hogan from the Attitude Era. The match was not really a fight but rather a unique experience created by two superstars before The Fiend got his next victim in the form of John Cena to send the latter back to Hollywood.

While most of the WWE Universe was impressed by the New World Order version of John Cena or the unique arrangement made by WWE for this match, Eric Bischoff was not amongst them.

The originator of the nWo gimmick took to Twitter to respond to the match to call out John Cena for dressing as nWo. Bischoff then labeled him as “Just Another Wannabe”. The Cenation Leader did not respond to the tweet, till now.

Apparently, John Cena tried to do the same during the Firefly Funhouse match at WrestleMania 36. He was trying to give us a demonstration at what could’ve happened if he had pulled off a heel-turn turn in WWE similarly to that of Hulk Hogan in his WCW days.

But one of the key persons behind nWo didn’t like how WWE wanted to use the gimmick at WrestleMania 36. We guess the original angle would be too good or still very much fresh in his mind.
