There were reports about Sheamus possibly taking retirement after heading into a sudden hiatus following Wrestlemania 35. WWE had to split the tag team The Bar due to this as the former WWE Champion needed time off to heal up his neck injury. Thankfully, the multi-time world champion’s injury has not gone on to become that much worse to date. He is still good to go inside the squared circle and we could expect him to be back in competition, quite soon. During a recent Q&A session, Sheamus himself confirmed the same assuring the fans that he will be back in the WWE, sooner. Plus, he revealed to go after one of his unfulfilled goal in the company, too.
The Celtic Warrior noted on the speculations ongoing around his career that could make him a future Hall of Famer, one day. He is listening to those gossips those say that we may not see him in action, ever again. But the fact is he will soon resurface as he misses wrestling more than anything else. Check out his statements, here,
“‘I’m not yet retired.’ I’m just repeating what he said. I just repeated what he said, guys. Sorry. Am I not allowed to do that? Sorry. I’m just — I’m playing around. I don’t know what the story is in my future. I have no idea, I honestly don’t. I just know that through my off, I’d had to channel through my passion. I’ve been watching WWE, you know, following it as much as I can, and just, you know, I miss it. I miss being in the ring, but I’m keeping myself busy.” (quotes courtesy wwfoldschool.com)

Sheamus has an illustrious career that witnessed a meteoric rise in 2009. He won the WWE world championship for five different occasions as well as the US or tag team titles on multiple occasions. But the only title he did not hold is the Intercontinental Championship that could eventually make him a Grand Slam winner. So he keeps his focus on winning that after coming back,
“If I get back to the ring, that would be the first thing I would go after. As of now, I am still listed as a SmackDown Superstar and the Title is on SmackDown. But as of now, I have no access to the Title, but it’s definitely the one I want.”
Furthermore, Sheamus also revealed what he will be up to after finishing his career which is in jeopardy due to the neck injury. He has already appeared in a few movies in the recent past and would like to continue the stint in the future. This acting bug is quite infectious, as per him,
“I like to act. The Rock, well he is okay. Definitely not as buff as me. John’s (Cena) got that hairdo and of course, there is big Dave Batista. But I do love acting and that surely will be next for me.”
