The Delhi-based franchise Delhi Capitals has risen their standards in the lucrative league; Indian Premier League (IPL). Renamed as Delhi Capitals (DC) after scraping Daredevils, the team has brought changes since last year when they qualified for the play-offs. Starting from the auctions for the 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), DC arrayed its players and brought few changes in their tactics. Now, the team is ready to yield desired results in the IPL 2020.
And one of the best decisions they made last season was to avail services of Shikhar Dhawan back in their team. It resulted in Capitals being one of the four teams to enter the Play-offs. They won the first match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) while they lost the second to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets. It was after seven long years when DC was seen in the Play-offs during the twelfth edition of the IPL.
However, the changes the management is making since the renaming of the franchise, makes DC a potential threat to other competing teams.

Promising Indian Talent:
DC squad is full of promising Indian prospects that could even possibly make it to the national side in future cricket events. Recently, they picked Mohit Sharma from the IPL auctions held in Kolkata in December, last year. Mohit is a domestic cricketer who debuted in the IPL 2013 with a brilliant figure of 20 wickets in 15 matches.
The 2014 Purple Cap winner will now don the Capitals’ jersey to make things count with his slow-orthodox bowling. On the other hand, there is the Haryana talent Harshal Patel, who is a right-arm pacer and joined DC ahead of the IPL 2018.
Patel had featured in five games in 2018 and ending up picking seven wickets in the tournament. Apart from him, DC has Avesh Khan who’s best known for the mean short balls and Axar Patel, who scalped 10 wickets for DC in the 12th edition of the IPL.
