Hypes around Money in the Bank ladder matches were reserved on last night’s Smackdown as two more superstars qualified for the opportunistic contests. Additionally, WWE also started stacking up the go-home editions of Raw and Smackdown for the upcoming pay-per-view event. Numerous segments and matches have been confirmed for next week.
WWE Unhappy With Renee Young Over Dean Ambrose’s Backstage Appearance
It was confirmed that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will be in action on Raw against Murphy. McIntyre is all set to battle Seth Rollins for his championship at Money in the Bank.
Last week, Murphy tried to deliver a sneak attack on the Scottish Psychopath but got leveled via a Claymore Kick. So, it’s time for him to prove to his mentor, Rollins that he can keep the champion down, for good.
Last Monday’s RAW saw The Viking Raiders issuing a challenge to Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for the tag team titles. This match will go down but the belts won’t be on the line. It seems the non-title affair between these two teams will allow doing a title match at the Money In the Bank pay-per-view.
Apart from these two matches, a Last Chance Gauntlet and another tag team contest are set for Raw, next week. The lineup is as follows,
* Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne with MVP vs. Ricochet and Cedric Alexander
* WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Murphy in a non-title match
* RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders in a non-title match
* Last Chance Gauntlet Match to determine Apollo Crews’ replacement for the MITB Ladder Match
WWE To Host The Undertaker’s Last Ride Farewell Tour Later This Year
As for next week’s Smackdown, Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak and a mystery partner will compete against King Baron Corbin, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura in a six-man tag team match. In the other confirmed matchup on the show, Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will go up against Lacey Evans and Tamina Snuka.
