WWE News: Rey Mysterio Reveals What Pushes Him To Perform Even At This Age
Rey Mysterio is undoubtedly one of the most admired WWE superstars of all-time. With his short height and physique, he was able to break it into the biggest pro-wrestling league of them all.
He went toe-to-toe with the likes of the so-called monsters of the company and came out on top. Even at this point in his career, he is able to produce lightning-fast matches which are pretty incredible to think.
It’s no secret that most of the locker room talents are being inspired by the Legendary Rey Mysterio. It turns out that the respect is mutual on both sides as Mysterio holds just as much respect for his current contemporaries. In a recent conversation, he spoke about how the youngsters help to push him to perform at a high level.
While speaking with WWE YouTube streaming show named The Bump, the United States Champion stated it’s talents like Ricochet that still drives him to perform at the top of his gear.
He appreciates receiving praises from the superstar who is being booked under Superhero gimmick. He is honored to inspire guys like Ricochet or Humberto Carrillo as well as get constantly motivated by them.
“I truly believe that the secret behind still being able to do it and perform at the level that I still perform at is to have people like Ricochet around you know,” Rey Mysterio said.
“Like Humberto Carrillo, that pushes me, inspires me to keep doing it and to do it at the level. So I’m honored to have inspired you guys at one point in your career to be where you’re at now and now the inspiration comes from you guys towards me to be able to perform at the level that I do.”
The Master of 619 also talked about Dominick, his son who is on the verge of starting his pro-wrestling career on Monday Night RAW. He has received pretty much attention courtesy of the bygone Survivor Series storyline with Brock Lesnar that can push him in the future.
While speaking of this, Rey Mysterio recalled how a young Dominik was involved in the on-screen rivalry between Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. Since then he has evolved a lot to become a wrestler.
He has a pretty good ability to convey emotions and jump into wrestling with dreams in his eyes. If WWE’s plans remain intact then at WrestleMania we might see Rey taking on Dominick in a potential retirement match.
