Goldberg-Roman Reigns & Rob Gronkowski Debut Confirmed On Smackdown

WWE Universal Champion Goldberg will be live on SmackDown on FOX, next week after giving the show a miss for two consecutive weeks. It was announced that The Myth will be present on the show to sign the contract to make his title match against Roman Reigns, official. This match has already been confirmed by the WWE for the ‘show of shows’, following Super ShowDown in February.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns was in attendance on this week’s SmackDown discussing his upcoming bout against Goldberg during an interview with Michael Cole. The Big Dog showed full respect to Goldberg but called him a part-time player who is just not ready to go through the grueling schedule of WWE.

So, it’s only fitting that he beats Goldberg bad to take the title back, and take his rightful top spot on SmackDown.

Next week’s SmackDown will also witness the debut of NFL veteran Rob Gronkowski, as confirmed by WWE. Announce team of Michael Cole and Triple H ran through the WWE Backstage segment where Gronk’s negotiations with WWE were discussed. Cole then confirmed that the former New England Patriots star has signed with the company and will now be known as a WWE star, moving forward. He will make first TV appearance, next week.

Good friend of Rob Gronkowski, Mojo Rawley was present on SmackDown commentary, this week to note on the proceedings who eventually confirmed that Rob is scheduled for his first appearance.

Mojo is still a member of the WWE RAW roster but that could change as the company is assigning his good friend on FOX for SmackDown. Mojo also confirmed that he will be making an appearance alongside Gronk, too.

It was earlier reported that this SmackDown appearance could lead to a WrestleMania segment for Rob Gronkowski. But he won’t be wrestling in a match as he won’t be fully prepared to wrestle inside the squared circle.

SmackDown, next week is scheduled to happen at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. But the Coronavirus pandemic could force WWE to air it from WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, instead.
