A huge dark main event was in-store following this week’s episode of WWE Raw in the form of a title match with an added stipulation. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins successfully defended his championship over “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt inside a Steel Cage.
WrestlingINC.com provided details update on the result. They interestingly noted that WWE used the red lighting around the ring area just like they did for the Wyatt vs. Rollins Hell In a Cell main event earlier this month.
As reported by the source, Seth Rollins tried to win the match by escaping the steel cage during the finish. But Wyatt was up in his feet and stopped him from doing so.
The champion then delivered several superkicks and a few more Stomps to keep the monster down. Rollins tried to climb the cage again but found Wyatt blocking the path.
The Fiend then pulled Seth Rollins inside the mat and went for a Sister Abigail. But Rollins countered with a kick, then another Stomp to lay Wyatt out. He then crawled out of the cage to retain his championship.
But that was not the end of the night as the scary creature sent a message once the match was over. Here’s more on what went down following the match,
“After the match, Wyatt quickly got back to his feet and stared at Rollins for a few seconds as Rollins made his way to the ramp. The arena went black and when the red lights came back on, The Fiend was at ringside with the Mandible Claw applied to The Architect.
The arena went dark again as Wyatt’s laugh echoed out. Wyatt then appeared on the stage under a spotlight as the lights flashed on him. That was the end of the show.”
The fans must have enjoyed this match as they chanted for The Fiend Bray Wyatt during last night’s episode of WWE Raw. He did not appear on the show as SmackDown chose Wyatt during the WWE Draft.
As for Seth Rollins, he appeared on the show to defeat Humberto Carrillo in a non-title match.
