WWE News: Seth Rollins Vs. Daniel Bryan Dream Match Took Place On WWE Raw
WWE did announce that Daniel Bryan was coming to WWE Raw in Los Angeles using the Wild Card Rule. But we barely imagined getting a dream match out of him against Seth Rollins. It was the main event of the night that WWE confirmed as the show went on the air. These two did collide in the ring in the past but they were not of the same caliber, back then.
So the main event did happen between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan on WWE Raw that witnessed a disqualification. Rowan attacked Rollins with Claw Slam to stop the match. A number of babyface and heel superstars ran down to the ring to ensue chaos. But the officials restarted the match, quickly as the two champions locked horns. Daniel Bryan almost had the win with the LeBell Lock in. But Seth Rollins countered with an Enziguiri and immediately followed up with a Stomp.
It was a gutsy performance by Seth Rollins to bring a happy end to the WWE Raw. But Baron Corbin ruined the moment for the fans. He appeared out of nowhere after the match to punish Rollins with some chair shots. He finished off the champion with an End of Days and thereby leaving a bitter taste for the fans after a solid match.
Wild Card Rule has been in full effect on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, as well as multiple Smackdown stars attended the flagship show. One of the notable mentions was Daniel Bryan for obvious as WWE announced this much earlier. They revealed that the Planet’s Champion will be the one to grace the show with the following announcement,
“SmackDown Tag Team Champion and “Planet’s Champion” Daniel Bryan has been chosen to be one of the four Wild Card Superstars to appear on Raw this coming Monday in Los Angeles.
The former SmackDown General Manager has long been loyal to the blue brand, and since this Wild Card appearance is not by choice, one can only wonder what Bryan will have to say to the “fickle” WWE Universe on Raw.”
Now they did not mention the capacity of his appearance for the tag team champion from Smackdown, at all. It was pleasant news for the fans though as Daniel Bryan has only attended WWE Raw only once since Vince McMahon implemented the Wild Card Rule. It happened on that night when he eventually returned from an injury picked up at Wrestlemania. Last night he was back once more delivering a one-of-a-kind match on the flagship show prior to Stomping Grounds.
