CM Punk has been trending all over the internet for the pro-wrestling fans ever since making the comeback, a few weeks ago. It was not a WWE return by any means as he showed up on FOX in the role of a co-host.
He will continue dissecting the segments from regular WWE programming alongside Renee Young, the main host of the show. But that does not stop the speculations of an in-ring return, at some point.
CM Punk asked for Royal Rumble return?
Apparently, the efforts have been started via the WWE officials to bring back CM Punk to the WWE brand. There has been a lot of previous bad blood between the two parties.

However, it is the perfect time to put the differences aside and do the right thing which will be the ‘best for business.’
McMahon furious on Rollins for calling out Punk
According to Slice Wrestling, WWE approved and gave blessing FOX hiring CM Punk for an analyst role on WWE Backstage.
It should let them achieve one of the main goals of WWE for 2020 which is to bring the former WWE Champion back to the company.
A big-money deal is anticipated to happen between the two parties since WWE has a lucrative FOX deal alongside the Saudi Arabia partnership until 2027. CM Punk must be in no state to say no to such a million-dollar offer.
WWE has reportedly sent out “feelers” to CM Punk about a possible in-ring return which keeps the rumours alive that the ‘return of the decade’ should happen someday.
The amount of money involved and the lifetime opportunity he’ll be getting in the potential last stint of his in-ring career should raise interest in him to sign a deal.
The source proceeded to mention that WWE might offer a ‘big money part-time deal to Punk, which will see CM Punk work the major PPVs’ (WrestleMania and the Saudi PPVs).
It might also offer him to working in a possible commentary role. (Punk has excellent mic skills, which is why WWE has already used him in commentator’s position, previously).
With that being said, it seems evident that CM Punk returning to in-ring action will happen, eventually. With Wrestlemania season approaching, WWE will go all-out to get some big-time stars under their banner. So this comeback should be on the card at the beginning of 2020.
