Triple H Happy For Not Performing At WWE Wrestlemania 36!
WWE is going through an extremely tough time, right now just like the entire sports and entertainment industry. Unlike other outlets, the company has not stopped producing weekly content to entertain the fans.
The coronavirus pandemic was not able to stop WrestleMania from happening from its original schedule. WWE officials including Triple H had to work hard extremely to make sure the event gets taped, perfectly.
During a recent interview with ESPN SportsCenter, WWE Hall of Famer Triple H talked about conducting WrestleMania 36 was a challenge for the WWE, this year. The corporate duties have to be well maintained to make sure everything remains smooth and hence Triple H is thankful that did not have to be a part of the WrestleMania match card.
For the first time in nearly 14 years, Triple H was not part of a WrestleMania matchup. Despite being a bonafide wrestling performer, he felt very happy about not being part of WrestleMania 36 PPV, this past weekend.
The reason is pretty obvious as The Game had to look after the show tapings from the Performance Center. It would have been an additional burden for him if he would have been scheduled to compete.
Below is what the 14-time World Champion said about this co-incidental hiatus from WrestleMania that benefitted him,
“Right now, I’m a full-time office guy. It’s funny, ironically I wasn’t scheduled to be in this year’s WrestleMania anyway.
Every year as time goes by, it gets more and more hectic for me. Getting in the ring just becomes an added burden.
Especially this year, with the way things turned out, and what we have to accomplish, I was very thankful I wasn’t scheduled to be in the ring this year, because it would have been almost virtually impossible to do everything else that’s happening.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)
Last year at WrestleMania 35, Triple H defeated ‘The Animal’ Batista in a No Holds Barred match to put an end to the latter’s career. Since then, he was seen performing inside the squared circle, only once in last June. Randy Orton defeated him in a singles contest at the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia.
After that, the cerebral assassin of WWE openly admitted of not wanting to perform in the ring, anymore owing to his corporate duties. So, the WWE creative team granted him the wish for WrestleMania 36.
