One of the busiest weekends in the WWE calendar will be waiting, as the first pay-per-view of the decade is right around the corner. Royal Rumble emanates on January 26th kicking things off in style for WrestleMania 36.

This is going to be one of those nights where unpredictability surrounds, all around. Major returns are expected to take place on this night to make the PPV a major success.

New Royal Rumble Participants Announced On WWE Raw

The current updates suggest two of the currently injured superstars will also attend Royal Rumble weekend and perhaps also make an appearance to shock the fans.

According to the reports from PWInsider.com, NXT wrestler Velveteen Dream and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal will be in attendance for the Royal Rumble 2020 weekend. WWE might intend to use them in a surprising capacity.

Huge Return Reportedly Locked In For Royal Rumble 2020

“PWInsider has been told by multiple sources that NXT star The Velveteen Dream (who has been off TV with a back issue, but has been at all NXT TV tapings and the Performance Center regularly) and Jinder Mahal (who has been out since last year with a torn ACL) is slated to be in Houston, Texas for Royal Rumble weekend.”

Additional updates suggest that it’s very possible that both Velveteen Dream and Jinder Mahal will be surprise entrants in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Dream is set to make an appearance at the WWE Worlds Collide event that takes place the night before Royal Rumble. So he could be slatted to make an additional appearance, as well.
