Rumors of Edge signing a new contract with the WWE is fuelling up day by day as Royal Rumble approaches. With the WrestleMania season right on the horizon, the expectation is that it’s only a matter of time that he shows up on WWE TV and thereby makes a shocking return.
This would also be portrayed as his inclusion to a storyline angle via which we’ll see him performing in more than one match in the future.
More Indications That Edge Is Coming Back To WWE For WrestleMania 36
As per the earlier updates, Edge has signed a new deal with the WWE to confirm his in-ring return. Now, a follow-up update was given where the exclusive details on the signed deal were disclosed.
It appears to be a lucrative deal which is way bigger than the usual deal that WWE inks with the so-called legendary superstars.
According to PWInsider.com, 11-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge has signed a ‘very good new deal’ with WWE. He’s going to be making a lot more money as this new contract is more than just a “Legends Contracts”.
Real Reason Why WWE Added Brock Lesnar At 2020 Royal Rumble Match
It means we could finally see the Rated-R Superstar make his in-ring return in bigger PPVs with the likes of Royal Rumble, WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia shows.
Below is what Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com said:
“We’ve been told that Edge signed a new deal. We’ve been told that it has a very nice upside to it financially and you have to think it’s not just a legends deal where they just have him show up and have him do promos. So, I think there’s more smoke to the fire with Edge than there is with Paige as we record this.”
It’s good to know Edge finally getting a chance to live back his career after years of wait. Back in 2011, perhaps the most heart-breaking incident of all-time took place in WWE Raw’s history where the world champion had to leave his career and the world title due to a neck concussion.
In recent times, Edge was spotted at several WWE TV tapings in recent weeks. This fuelled up the speculation of his in-ring return that could happen as soon as the Royal Rumble 2020 PPV. We have to wait until January 26th to see whether that happens or not.
