Hell in a Cell 2019 edition was one of the worst pay-per-view events in the company’s history where the creative team might have put the least effort to have a solid buildup. Only four matches were official for the show with one of being the main event of the card. Seth Rollins defended his Universal Championship against The Fiend Bray Wyatt in a fresh matchup where the challenger was a clear favorite to come out as the winner.

One of the big reasons to have this outcome was to ensure another marquee match at Survivor Series 2019 edition. The initial plan was that Brock Lesnar will become the new WWE Champion on Friday Night SmackDown defeating Kofi Kingston and The Fiend will pick up the Universal Championship at Hell In A Cell 2019 defeating Seth Rollins. This could produce a match between the two respective champions at the last big-four PPV event of the year.

As per the tradition of WWE Survivor Series, Champions from WWE Raw goes head-to-head against the respective Champions from Friday Night SmackDown. So Brock Lesnar vs. The Fiend Bray Wyatt should have been the lineup for the November extravaganza. However, following Hell in a Cell, chances are the least that we will see this lineup since Wyatt is not the Universal Champion. Furthermore, the latest reports suggested that WWE is not willing to make him the champion, anytime soon.
The Boss Vince McMahon is not intending to square these two superstars off so to protect the status of both of them. Here’s more via wwfoldschool.com,
“According to The Dirty Sheets, WWE officials have no interest in doing this match as they don’t want The Fiend to take a loss this soon and can’t afford to give Lesnar a loss either (as he already lost to Seth Rollins twice this year – especially losing clean at SummerSlam 2019).”

Vince McMahon had a meeting before the RAW before Hell in a Cell where future opponents for The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar were discussed. The idea of The Fiend vs. Brock Lesnar in a “RAW vs. SmackDown – Universal Champion vs. WWE Champion” match was talked about and got shot down. Officials might have already found the alternate plans to Lesnar vs. Fiend program.
For now, the plan is to keep Brock Lesnar off the Survivor Series pay-per-view match card. The current WWE Champion Lesnar might only work one more PPV in 2019, which would be Crown Jewel 2019 (as Lesnar has a deal where he will work all the Saudi Arabia PPVs and thereby receive a huge paycheck). As for The Fiend Bray Wyatt, he was not present on this week’s WWE RAW which did not let us know whether the company will give away another title match to him at Crown Jewel. The fourth global Saudi Arabia show takes place on October 31st night.
