WWE has finally confirmed the signing of John Morrison under their banner. The confirmation was received on this past edition of WWE Backstage show on FOX Network whereas the rumors were out much earlier in September.

But both the parties decided to keep it as a top-secret until the public announcement was made on the show hosted on FOX, every Tuesday night.

John Morrison was also asked about the potential signing but he wiped out the chances at one point.

But now WWE declared that the high-flying superstars have signed a new multi-year deal with the promotion. Veteran wrestling journalist Ryan Satin was the one who broke the news on FOX’s WWE Backstage.

The former tag team and US Champion reacted in an exciting manner following the confirmation. He can’t wait to share the ring with the very best of athletes that WWE could offer to him.

As of now, there’s no update on which brand he would be assigned to within Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

Wrestling style of John Morrison resembles indie scene which is why NXT would be a perfect place for him to land. Opponents like Adam Cole, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Keith Lee could produce real gems.

John Morrison started his wrestling career in WWE as a participant for Tough Enough III in 2002. He became a co-winner of the show and eventually became a WWE superstar.

Starting his career in 2004, his tenure in the company lasted for almost nine years before he left in 2011 over creative disputes. By then, he won over a half dozen titles.

Apart from working in the WWE, he wrestled for companies like Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground and AAA.

CM Punk reacted on WWE signing John Morrison and expecting to compete with the very best. He commented saying that Morrison should have headed to Japan if willing to receive the most technical athletes of pro-wrestling.
