The one-off episode of SmackDown on FS1 aired with a headliner confrontation segment between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez. A very special episode of Miz TV was there with legendary Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Also, WWE announced a tag team match and women’s division singles contest to hype up the show which was the go-home edition for Crown Jewel. Check out the results from it that took place at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Roman Reigns soon going back to main event scene
SmackDown kicked off with an edition of MizTV where the Miz welcomed everyone on the show. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were in the ring with the SmackDown team members standing in his corner. A verbal confrontation took place among them before Hogan proposed a three on three tag team match between Reigns, G and Ali vs. Corbin, Nakamura, and Zayn. Zayn denied to compete and introduced Cesaro as his replacement. He came out to start a brawl at ringside. But Team Hogan stood tall.

A tag team match was next on SmackDown with the lineup of The New Day vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Kofi Kingston and Big E were representing their team as Xavier Woods is out due to injury. Big E controlled the match with some of his belly-to-belly suplexes. But Roode countered with a Spinebuster on him. Kofi got the tag with Roode distracting him. Ziggler rolled up Kofi to get the win. After the match, The Revival attacked New Day but Heavy Machinery ran out to make the save.
Lacey Evans vs. Enhancement talent Camron Connors was the next matchup on SmackDown. Before the match, Lacey cut a heel promo on the crowd and pretended to walk out of the match. When Camron started celebrating thinking of her win inside the ring, Lacey came back and dropped her with a Women’s Right to pick up the win.
Drew Gulak vs. Kalisto happened next on SmackDown. Gulak was showing a PowerPoint presentation on Braun Strowman on his potential Crown Jewel success. Gulak took control of the match until Strowman hit the ring hunting Gulak. Kalisto delivered the Salida Del Sol to get the win. Strowman hit Gulak with two Running Powerslams to send a message to his Crown Jewel opponent, Tyson Fury.
Daniel Bryan appeared on SmackDown to feature in an interview with Michael Cole. The host asked him about the WWE Draft giving a fresh start to him. He also asked whether the YES movement will be back. WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura walked out with Sami Zayn. They pleaded him not to go back to the older days and join him to form a team. Bryan thought for a moment and chose to walk away from the ring.
Nikki Cross took on Mandy Rose in the next matchup on SmackDown. Rose almost got the win hitting a Fall-away slam. But Cross came back with a clothesline and splash in the corner. Sonya Deville charged to provide a distraction but Nikki managed to hit the Swinging Neckbreaker to pick up the win.
Cain Velasquez and Rey Mysterio appeared on SmackDown as Rey talked about Brock Lesnar attacking his son three weeks ago. Lesnar soon showed up on the tron as he was grabbing Dominick by his head. Rey and Cain ran out to the backstage to find out Dominick at a trainer’s room. Lesna attacked Rey and Cain with a trashcan. He dropped Rey with an F-5 through a table and followed up with another one on Cain on top of Dominick before walking away.
Roman Reigns, Shorty G and Ali vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, King Baron Corbin and Cesaro was the main event of this week’s SmackDown. After initial domination from Reigns, the heels controlled the match against Ali and G. Reigns got back the hot tag and hit Cesaro with a Sitdown Powerbomb. Cesaro backfired with a Sharpshooter and an uppercut. Reigns came back with a mid-air Superman Punch and tagged in Ali who connected with the inverted 450-splash to pick up the win.
