Batista received what he wanted at Wrestlemania 35 i.e. a match against Triple H. He also got it the way he wanted it via a No Holds Barred match where Triple H’s career was on the line. His opponent’s career could have been ended right there if it was not for Ric Flair showing up at ringside.

But after the dust hot cleared, we now know that Batista will no more feature in the pro-wrestling competition. “Batista got what he wanted at WrestleMania, and now he’s ready to call it quits. In a heartfelt message to the WWE Universe posted to his Twitter page late Sunday night, Batista stated that he’s officially retired from sports-entertainment. The revelation came just hours after The Animal’s defeat in a brutal No Holds Barred Match against Triple H on The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Batista specifically mentioned the sports entertainment term to clarify that he will not wrestle anywhere else outside the WWE. Previously, the rumor was that he might join All Elite Wrestling after receiving a lucrative offer from the company. But this confirmation message wiped out the chances of the same.

The Animal came back to the WWE in February eyeing the Wrestlemania match against Triple H. He campaigned for this particular match for a long time and finally received the green signal from the WWE creative. Thereafter, we see the heel version him on TV against The Game.

Despite playing the despicable character, there’s no doubt that WWE fans had a lot of respect for the former world champion. The match against Triple H garnered a lot of attention from the mainstream audience since he has become a big Hollywood star. Now with wrestling career behind him, he will go back to focus on that.

His next project is the blockbuster movie Avengers: Endgame which comes out later this month on 26 April. Prior to becoming a movie star, he picked up the World championship for six occasions. He is a Royal Rumble winner and a multiple time Wrestlemania main-eventer, as well that makes him a legend.
