The two members of four horsewomen group squared off against each other on Smackdown to a big treat for the audience. For the first time ever in WWE, Becky Lynch took on Women’s Money in the Bank participant Bayley on SmackDown LIVE. The Hugger tried to derail the momentum of the champion as much as she could. But it was enough to fend off the champion who picked up the victory. But The Queen appeared on the scene to leave both of them lying on the floor.
Full MITB lineup announced on Smackdown
New title match added at MITB 2019
Bayley started the match with some impactful strikes to start the match on Smackdown. She must be fired up with the news of competing in the 2019 women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. But Becky Two Belts backfired with a Bexploder Suplex followed by a forearm. Both the women downed them with stereo clotheslines.
It was Bayley who was up first and went to the top rope trying to execute the big elbow. Becky Lynch put her knees up to counter the move and locked in the dis-arm-her submission hold forcing her to tap out. But the champion could not celebrate longer enough as Charlotte Flair appeared from behind. She knocked The Man out of the ring with a massive kick before hitting Bayley shoulder-first into the ring post. She left the ring with a sick smile in the face making a huge statement.
Becky Lynch is set to create another history at the upcoming show, Money in the Bank. For the first time ever, a female superstar will defend her two championships on one single night. That’s what we can expect from a Wrestlemania main-eventer, after all, who won both the Raw and Smackdown women’s championship on that night to cement her legacy in the WWE.
Now she is out to defend the accolades earned on that night at Money in the Bank. Becky Lynch will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans and the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. Both the challengers won their respective contenders matches to earn the rights of title matches in the upcoming show.
Some may complain about the repeated lineup of Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair that we have witnessed a number of occasions in 2018 and even in 2019. This is why Bayley brought up the topic on last week’s Smackdown. She wanted to keep Charlotte Flair away from the title picture but The Queen escaped with the win. As seen on last night, she made her presence felt on the show, yet again with a sneak attack. We must say, the champion’s title is in real jeopardy at Money in the Bank.
