WWE News: Huge 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match & More Announced For This Week’s Smackdown
WWE is really intending to pull out all the stops to hype up the final episode of Smackdown Live before Royal Rumble. Things can’t get any bigger than this when Vince McMahon resurfaces. He will be moderating things in a rare appearance when an in-ring confrontation happens between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan before their title match.
Additionally, WWE has now confirmed two more matches for the upcoming episode of Smackdown. One of them is going to be 2-out-of-3 falls match. Last week, Rey Mysterio put on an absolute classic against Andrade Cien Almas. It was one of best matches that we have seen on Tuesday Nights in a long time. Thanks to Zelina Vega, Andrade became the winner against the legend.
The fans were going ga-ga over this contest and agreed to see more of these two on Smackdown. This is the fresh era where everything goes per the fans’ demand. Hence, the officials soon make this match official one more time. This time around, they have added a mouth-watering stipulation to this.
Here’s the confirmation from the official website on this match,
“In a match that had the entire WWE Universe captivated, Andrade was able to beat Rey Mysterio in a thriller last week on SmackDown LIVE after Zelina Vega got involved. Now, the two Superstars are going to run it back in a match that will go a long way in proving who the better man is when they face off in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match this Tuesday night on the blue brand.”
WWE has shortened the name of Andrade Cien Almas into just Andrade hinting that a potential push is in-store for him. So we should not be surprised at all if he picks up two back to back victories against Rey Mysterio. This would be a solid boost this young man’s career.
Another young man on the Smackdown roster looks for his retribution from last week in a huge matchup. It will be Mustafa Ali going up against Samoa Joe in a one-on-one bout. This is the first time ever that the former heart and soul of 205 Live will compete against the Samoan Submission Machine.
Last week, Samoa Joe was about to compete in this scheduled match which never happened. He instead focused on hurting Mustafa Ali by attacking him from the back. The bell never rang as the assault continued to out Ali down to sleep. This week he gets a chance to seek his retribution when Smackdown airs live from Wichita, Kansas.
