WWE News: Major Storyline Angle Scrapped For Alexa Bliss On WWE Raw
The landscape of WWE Raw changed big-time from last week onwards. McMahon family returned on the show to claim big changes coming forward. The pivotal alteration that happened was the abolition of the post of general manager on both Raw and Smackdown Live. The middle-man authority figure will no more be there on the weekly programming.
This actually came as a storyline where the McMahons blamed Baron Corbin for the bad condition of WWE Raw. The former acting general manager of the show did the worst job in his position where the ratings dropped to the lowest that one could even imagine. So The Boss had to step in between and took the control over for the programming.
Now prior to this, we have expected a different authority to run WWE Raw. Arrangement for the same started as Baron Corbin started setting up the spot for him. Also, he appointed Alexa Bliss in-charge for the women’s roster. This started the rumors that the former women’s champion would transition into a new role, going forward.
Apparently, the planning has begun, accordingly as Alexa Bliss was suffering from a concussion. It turned out to be a career-threatening injury where she lost feeling in her arms. Alexa Bliss even got senseless while traveling in a plane. So WWE might have thought to use the popular figure in a new role.
But the plans changed due to McMahon family resurfacing to WWE programming. Here’s the update from stillrealtous.com,
“The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there was the talk of having Alexa Bliss take over Baron Corbin’s spot as Raw GM after Corbin lost to Braun Strowman at TLC. But that idea has been completely dropped.”
Alexa Bliss becoming the main authority figure on WWE Raw was not the only plan that got changed in recent times. Shane McMahon was about to turn heel on Smackdown Live. This could have brought a big change to the blue brand prior to Wrestlemania 35. But McMahon family returned and Paige had to move from her position leaving Shane intact on his babyface role.
Planning change for Alexa Bliss, however, indicates good things for her. She has started training in the performance center for quite some time to gear up for the comeback. Fans could be relaxed to hear that The Goddess will not have to take retirement in the near future. Rather she will make a strong comeback in time for Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania.
