WWE News: New Titles Coming Up For Women Superstars Of WWE
There are certainly not any lack of titles in the WWE scenario. But the women superstars might be gearing up for some more competition in the near future with added titles. If the recent reports are to go by then, WWE might introduce more titles exclusive to the women superstars under their banner. The officials might introduce two more titles to the programming.
WWE has been giving a big push to the women superstars to break the barrier present with the men’s division. This is why they started the women’s Evolution and created a whole PPV with this name. But the progress for the women superstars should be a continuous process. So they will continue seeing new things reserved for them.
Joe Peisich recently reported on Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast that a mid-card title is coming up for women superstars. The creative team is nurturing the idea for quite sometimes. This title will be for those names who are the current mid-carders in the female roster. The concept would be something similar to that of Intercontinental or United States titles.
Any male superstar on the roster captures this to prepare himself for the main event spot. These titles basically help the superstars to stay relevant despite being out of the Universal or WWE Championship picture. Furthermore, these two titles also carry prestige with them.
The women superstars could benefit to a big level with the inauguration of this new title. The source hinted the potential time when we could expect this to see in WWE programming, (via ringsidenews.com)
“That’s news coming out that I just heard today. Look for tag titles and maybe an Intercontinental title appearing in the ladies revolution possibly by early next year.”
Maria Kanellis recently spoke on this issue. She insisted the officials bring back the Divas Championship into the programming. This could keep the former Divas division relevant. Without them, there could never be a women’s Evolution. So former Divas like should get recognition for being what they were.
Furthermore, the tag team titles are also under speculation. The rumors of the revelation of this title are going on for quite sometimes. It looks like that the official announcement will not come until next year. The same source hinted that the women’s division tag team titles are still not out of context,
“There were several rumors going around for I don’t know a month, a month and a half that the WWE is going to show or bring a new tag team ladies title. There are also rumors going around that eventually they want to have sort of an Intercontinental or US Title for the ladies as well.”
