WWE has been able to deliver a decent episode of Monday Night Raw following Stomping Grounds. It has some pleasant surprise in-store by virtue of the Wild Card entries and a huge main event ‘Winner Take All’ match for the next PPV event named Extreme Rules. But none of those broke the internet like the way The Undertaker returning did.
Why The Undertaker Should Retire After Super Showdown?
It was a huge surprise for the fans watching, live or at home as the gong hit the arena making the place dark and thereby bringing back The Undertaker. He unleashed on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre to save Roman Reigns and clear the ring. He followed up with his legendary pose inside the ring before exiting.
Now it was an extremely unprecedented scene to witness The Deadman coming back out of nowhere. He inserted himself into a regular storyline ongoing on TV and thereby confirm a match at Extreme Rules. The Undertaker will be tagging up with Roman Reigns to take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at the July 14th PPV.
Why AJ Styles Reunited With The Club On Raw?
Now the question remains why The Deadman agreed to return on Raw all of a sudden to feature in an angle with Roman Reigns. As per the reports from cagesideseats.com, WWE creative team brought him back to help boost the TV ratings en route to Extreme Rules. His inclusion to the storyline may increase the viewership for the flagship show that is on a declining note, otherwise.
Ronda Rousey Wanted This Particular Name For Her First WWE Match
Vince McMahon has lately been going through massive trouble regarding this. He could not think of a better solution than bringing back the 54-year old guard of the company. Jessi Davin, a popular member of the IWC tweeted out the below regarding this, “WWE RAW ratings suck. You know what that means.” He included an Undertaker calling button alongside that ‘Taker’s wife Michelle McCool liked.

This is probably the biggest indication that how much WWE depends on The Undertaker even at this stage when he should go back to retirement, a long time ago. But instead, he will be working on the next pay-per-view event to make it a sellout show. This is the second time that Undertaker will team up with Roman Reigns in a tag team match. Earlier, they performed together in a Madison Square Garden house show in 2018.
