WWE News: Roman Reigns To Start New Feuds On Smackdown Against Two Superstars
WWE Smackdown has received a big-time shakeup last week when they got their hands on the franchise player of the company. Roman Reigns turned out to be the biggest acquisition of the blue brand as Superstar Shakeup came to a close. He arrived in style attacking Mr. McMahon with a Superman Punch. This raised concerns over his status on Smackdown.
As hinted by WWE.com, Roman Reigns will have to deal with major repercussions for putting his hands on Mr. McMahon,
“Last week at the culmination of Superstar Shake-up 2019, Mr. McMahon promised the biggest acquisition in SmackDown LIVE history, and the WWE Chairman delivered Elias. But, before the WWE Universe could even catch their collective breath, Roman Reigns suddenly emerged as the newest addition to SmackDown LIVE and delivered the Superman Punch to both Mr. McMahon and his acquisition. The Big Dog has declared that the blue brand is his new yard! But, will Reigns find himself out of a job this Tuesday for his actions against the Chairman?”
So could we see McMahon fire Roman Reigns right after entering the Smackdown brand? Apparently, this is just a storyline process which will try to build sympathy on The Big Dog, yet again as he tries to convert into the new role of Smackdown show-runner. Two separate rivalries may be waiting for him as we move forward in the post-Wrestlemania season.
WWE.com currently lists Roman Reigns for all the Live Events in foreseeable future. This would be for the first time ever that he will work in a regular schedule after his return from Leukemia. He competed in The Shield’s Last Chapter on this past Sunday. Next night, he worked on the house show that took place at Sioux City, Iowa.
At this time, Randy Orton is the scheduled opponent for Roman Reigns for most of those upcoming shows. But The Viper does not work on a regular basis when it comes to live events. Hence, he will miss some of those. Elias will be replacing him against Roman Reigns for those shows where Orton will not be present. This certainly indicates that The Big Dog will have to pull off double duties on the Smackdown brand.
Elias becomes a confirmed opponent for Roman Reigns since he suffered the wrath of Superman Punch and Spear on his first night on Smackdown. But Elias’ less credibility might not make happy Elias’ fans which is why WWE creative may have arranged Randy Orton as a backup opponent for the Big Dog. These two already had illustrious rivalries over the years be it solo or within a faction. They will reincarnate the feud sooner on the blue brand.
