She spoke about current status in an interview with Sirius XM Busted Open Radio. We learned that Paige is indeed in the happiest phase in her entire career, right now. She might not be able to compete inside the ring anymore but the job of Smackdown general manager gave her the opportunity to continue working with the people that she admires.

Paige has been wrestling since she was 13 years old. This is why her body went through a lot of pain since the beginning and thus it forced her to retire. It happened only at an age of just 25. Following that shocking announcement after Wrestlemania 34, WWE appointed her as the new general manager of Smackdown Live.
This was a way to keep the popular superstar around the company. At the same time, Paige could keep working with her co-workers. It also led her back into Total Divas where she can share the screen with besties like Bella Twins, Nia Jax or Natalya. So she should be in a happier phase which is much deserved from her perspective. Her current contract with WWE is intact until 2019.
