The storyline for the WWE Raw women’s championship is the most intense for this season of Wrestlemania. It is quite justified since WWE is pushing this one to be the main event of the show. So this angle does deserve the biggest push. Multiple twists are in-store since the start that makes this one the most entertaining.
WWE veteran had an affair with Stephanie McMahon?
WWE not happy with Ronda for using violent words
Ronda Rousey has been the WWE Raw women’s championship holder since Summerslam 2018. She was always going to be a long-time champion to defend it at Wrestlemania. Becky Lynch eventually became the women’s Royal Rumble winner after becoming the hottest superstar of this time via a heel-turn. So the final lineup was almost set.

But Vince McMahon brought an unexpected twist into it by inserting Charlotte Flair to the mix. She replaced Becky Lynch in order to face Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania for the women’s championship. She was not likely to be in the main event scene, anyway. Hence, this decision depressed most of the fans.

However, there’s a strong reason why Vince McMahon chose to insert Charlotte Flair into the title picture. She wanted to ensure the first-ever women’s main event match in WWE Wrestlemania history. So letting The Queen was to eliminate any sort of interruptions via an injury.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that McMahon was worried about injuries and wanted to have a backup plan. Here’s more on this from SportsKeeda.com,
“Vince McMahon added Charlotte Flair to the potential match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 is to have a backup match in case one of Rousey, Charlotte or Lynch got injured. If one of them did get injured in the build-up to WrestleMania 35, where the RAW Women’s title match is to close the show, they could still have a singles match.”
The other potential reason is that The Boss does believe Charlotte Flair as the most bankable superstar of the women’s division. So he did not want her to be left out of the scene, anyway.
However, fans did want to see a solo contest between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, all the way. This is a dream match from which Charlotte Flair was stealing the thunders, as per some WWE Universe members. However, the triple threat match is still on for the grandest stage of the year. This should be the match culminating the ongoing women’s Evolution.
