Becky Lynch has been running the female roster of the WWE ever since Ronda Rousey left the scene back at Wrestlemania 35. She digested the only pinfall loss of her career at the hands of the Irish superstar to put her over in a big way. It was a fitting way for the new hero of the company who came out on top winning both Raw and Smackdown women’s championships on that night.

Will WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Be Returning To In-Ring Competition?

The journey to Wrestlemania 35 for Becky Lynch started at Summerslam 2018. Her sudden switch to the character becoming a heel by attacking Charlotte Flair made her an overnight sensation. She became the most popular superstar of the entire roster despite being a heel. Later, WWE turned her completely babyface before her Wrestlemania happened on April 6th.

Nikki Bella Would Love To Face Becky Lynch Coming Out Of Retirement

Ever since then, Becky Lynch is portraying an interesting character on TV which resembles Stone Cold Steve Austin. He does the right thing, be it in the wrong way to earn huge cheers from the crowd. It extinguishes the line between a heel and babyface superstar which was previously working well for her in the long run. So WWE may be bringing it back for her on-screen character.

As per Cagesideseats (via Wrestling Observer), WWE is trying to get Becky Lynch over with the audience like she used to be during her initial run to the title. Becky-mania has faded away in recent times as we have reached the first anniversary of the incident that took her to the top of the fame. Blurring the line between heel and babyface again might work well for her as scouted by the creative team.

We already witnessed an instance of the same on an edition of Monday Night Raw where Becky Lynch pounced on her Summerslam opponent Natalya during her training sessions. It was a usual crime committed by the villains of the roster which the champion pulled off effortlessly to get appreciation. We may get more such things shortly featuring her.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch is looking forward to making history yet again as we enter the fall of 2019 in the upcoming months. For the first time in the history, WWE might name a female star in her to be the cover player of WWE 2K video game. She has earned the accolade with the upcoming 2K20 edition which will launch in October. We now wait for the official announcement on this in the upcoming weeks.
