When it comes to Brock Lesnar, this man is the biggest box office attraction that WWE has to offer. Whenever he shows up, business picks up just as we have witnessed this past Monday night. He was out creating a rampage during the opening segment of the season premiere of WWE Raw. Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick ended up receiving several F-5s and German Suplexes before landing in a local medical facility.

The Rock’s Return Having Major Effects On Smackdown
There was no reason whatsoever for Brock Lesnar targeting the Master of 619. Later, Paul Heyman mentioned that it was all on Vince McMahon since he dared to book The Beast Incarnate on the season premiere of Monday Night Raw. With just four nights away from his WWE Championship match against Kofi Kingston, he was out there delivering a message to the champion.

But the insider reports suggest that WWE laid the groundworks for a huge future matchup through this Brock Lesnar beatdown. As heard in Heyman’s promo, he mentioned that his client is in a ‘fight mode’. Dave Meltzer revealed during Wrestling Observer Radio that it was WWE’s way to hint a rumored contest between Lesnar and his former UFC nemesis Cain Velasquez.

Although WWE has not signed Velasquez under their banner, it may be a way to sparkle up the speculation, even more. A rivalry could be imminent once the paperwork is over. Here’s more from the source, (via ringsidenews.com)
“Okay, so that promo he talked about tough guys and mixed martial arts and fighters… that was a promo for Cain [Velasquez] now, whether that’s gonna end up happening.”
“The whole segment with Rey and everything, you beat up the Mexican and the Mexican superhero badass comes in, that’s kinda where the idea was behind everything. Cain has not signed either so they have an idea. Obviously it’s Brock and Cain and this stuff was in that direction, but it may end up not happening, but that’s the destination in theory that this is headed toward.”
Cain Velasquez has one more match to wrestle for AAA promotion in Los Angeles after which he becomes a free agent. He recently revealed talked ongoing with WWE and AEW for a potential contract signing. Now it depends on the former UFC Heavyweight Champion whether we will see him competing against Brock Lesnar in a marquee match.
