After all, this one has been the most discusses topic of the century ever since this man left the promotion and thereafter announced his departure from the entire pro-wrestling business. As much as he wants to stay away from WWE, the speculations just don’t stop with so much happening all around the industry.

The Rock’s Return Having Major Effects On Smackdown

As reported earlier, CM Punk showed interest in a role in the upcoming talk show WWE Backstage, which is set to air in November. This will entirely be a talk show where Punk gets to feature in a non-wrestling role. But it could certainly open the door to a possible in-ring return one day with the daily basis association with the WWE when SmackDown moves to FOX. For now, Renee Young and Booker T will host the show named WWE Backstage.

CM Punk Says He Can Still Talk With WWE If They Contact

In the meantime, interesting reports surfaced regarding the former WWE Champion’s return to WWE. As per the recent reports from WrestleVotes, a CM Punk return might be in progress. However, WWE will quietly do things to hide the happening from the public,

“CM Punk… I asked, I got back nothing definitive, as it should be. If and when it happens, it should be super quiet. One source went on to say “probably not now, but eventually” so that’s that.”

Wrestling Observer newsletter also previously gave updates stating that if CM Punk does intend to return to the squared circle then it must happen in WWE. Both the parties will have monetary reasons if they could have an eventual agreement,

“If C.M. Punk is to come back to pro wrestling, it looks like it will be here.” They further remarked: “The impression from WWE is that they believe he wants back in but right now it’s nothing they are counting on doing.”

As we all know, CM Punk has always been the biggest free agent in sports entertainment since quitting WWE back in 2014. The company froze his contract and thereby went for a lawsuit that went on for multiple years keeping the bad blood intact between the two parties. However, the Straight Edge Leader is open to hearing if WWE comes up with a lucrative offer.
