WWE RAW presented the go-home edition for annual TLC PPV, last night. A live divorce segment was announced for the show as a major attraction. The headliner was a United States Championship match between Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles.
Plus, a number of announcements were there regarding TLC on the show that took place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
Jerry Lawler opened WWE Raw to preside things over for Lana and Rusev’s divorce segment. Lana blasted Rusev with some nasty comments before signing the paper.
Rusev hesitated to inform Lana that he really wants a match with Lashley who soon came to the ring to ensue chaos. Rusev prevailed by slamming Lashley through the announce table.
Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre was the opening contest of WWE RAW where McIntyre talked trash about Matt and his third child before the match started. Matt came up with some offensive moves but ultimately got planted with the Future-Shock DDT. McIntyre then hit the Claymore Kick to pick up the win.
WWE RAW Tag Team Titles were on the line where The Street Profits received a chance to challenge The Viking Raiders. Another short matchup followed as the champs planted them with a double team Viking Experience.
Seth Rollins appeared next on WWE Raw wanting AOP to come out and have a settlement with him. But instead, Kevin Owens came out with pipe in hand. AOP never appeared making Rollins irate who exited the ring.
Sami Zayn appeared with Mojo Rawley to interrupt Owens who ended up hitting the pipe on Mojo. He followed up with a Stunner on him to end the segment.
Aleister Black vs. Akira Tozawa happened next where Black connected with the Jumping Knee on the apron to send Akira to the floor. Black then executed the Black Mass on him to get the pinfall win.
Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo was the lineup for the next matchup on WWE Raw where Carrillo connected with a Moonsault for a near fall.
Andrade countered with the double stomp in a Tree of Woe for a near fall of his own. He accidentally hit Vega as Carrillo rolled him up from the back to get the win.
Buddy Murphy vs. Zack Ryder took place next on WWE Raw where Ryder connected with a dropkick followed by a Broski Boot. But Murphy landed a big jumping knee followed by a Murphy’s Law to get the win.
Kevin Owens roamed in the backstage area in search of AOP to find out a man sitting in their van. AOP pounced on Owens from behind to deliver an ambush. The mystery man appeared to be Seth Rollins who delivered a Stomp on Owens on the concrete floor.
Rollins then arrived at the ring to cut a heel promo on the fans and reveal his association with AOP and officially announcing a faction on WWE Raw.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch returned to action on the flagship show in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match by competing against Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane. The match was disqualified as Asuka hit Lynch with some steel chair shots as she locked in the Dis-Arm-Her on Sane.
The tag champs set Lynch on a table as Sane delivered the InSane Elbow through it to put her down. Going backstage, Asuka and Kairi Sane also delivered an assault on Charlotte Flair with a steel chair in hand.
Erick Rowan squashed an enhancement talent hitting three pendant Iron Claw Chokeslams.
WWE United States Title Match was the main event of WWE Raw between AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. AJ rocked Mysterio with a Styles Clash after distractions from Gallows and Anderson.
But Randy Orton appeared preventing him from getting the pinfall. Rey rolled him up from behind to win the match and retain his title. The show immediately went off the air after this.
