The audience was having fun with their antics and dance breaks until Daniel Bryan interrupted the segment. He claimed Santa Claus will not exist in 20 years and engaged in a verbal brawl with Truth.

Truth reminded him of his Mixed Match Challenge win using which he can enter the Royal Rumble 2019 match and challenged him in a title match. An angry Bryan took a cheap shot on R-Truth to start a brawl. The WWE Champion put him into the LeBell Lock and stomped away to Truth until the officials came out to make the save.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and The Usos squared off against SAnitY and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar in an eight-man tag team match. The New Day was present at the announce table dressed in Christmas costumes. Usos landed superkicks to put SAnitY members out of the equation. Daniel Bryan attacked Ali at backstage after the match.

The Miz hosted a special edition of Miz TV with Shane McMahon guest. Miz started asking Shane to become his new tag team partner, as expected. He mentioned that this is his chance to show the other McMahons that he is a much better in-ring performer. The crowd cheered as Smackdown commissioner agreed to the words of The Miz. The two posed with the Best in the World trophy, thereafter.

Jeff Hardy competed in a singles contest against Samoa Joe on Smackdown. Joe dominated the early part of the match putting an abdominal stretch on his opponent. Hardy came back with some pendant moves like Whisper in the Wind and Twist of Fate. The referee disqualified the match after Hardy went irate and denied to stop hitting Joe. Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch to punish Hardy before leaving.

Mandy Rose tried to bring Jimmy Uso under the mistletoe when Naomi interrupted. She was furious and threw her shoes on Mandy.

Rusev competed against Shinsuke Nakamura over the United States Championship on Smackdown main event. The contender started the encounter with a suplex followed by a series of clotheslines. But Nakamura hit him with a Knee to come back. Nakamura locked in the Triangle Choke Hold and sent Rusev to the ring post. Rusev avoider Kinshasa and connected with another superkick to become the new US Champion.
