WWE Smackdown Preview (19/03/19)-Kofi Kingston Gauntlet-The Miz Responds
Vince McMahon has made the stakes high for the WWE Championship match over on Smackdown. For the last couple of weeks, high drama is going around the prime title where Kofi Kingston received an ultimatum. He gets a final opportunity to go to Wrestlemania 35. But the question is can he pull off a miracle in the Indie City?
The Miz returns to Smackdown after a week’s hiatus. He will open up for the first time since Shane McMahon stabbed him in the back and announced a Wrestlemania match against him. Also, we anticipate to know the tag team and the women’s title matches to get official. This edition of Tuesday Night Show comes live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
WWE is hyping up tonight’s episode of Smackdown with another Gauntlet match within a month. This time around, the outcome of the match will decide the fate of the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 35. Kofi Kingston will have to topple a mountain in order to become the new number one contender for the prime title. Here’s the trivia from the main event via WWE.com,
“In order to earn a WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania, Kingston must defeat Randy Orton. And United States Champion Samoa Joe. And The Bar. And Rowan. Yes, Kingston has to beat all five Superstars in a Gauntlet Match that will start the show this Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE to keep his WrestleMania dreams alive. Can Kingston defeat five of WWE’s toughest Superstars and earn his place on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Find out when this high stakes Gauntlet Match kicks things off this Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!”
Technically, it’s an impossible task for Kofi Kingston to defeat all five of them on a single night. But Kofi-Mania must go ahead to give the fans what they want. Hence, we can expect interference from multiple superstars like AJ Styles, R-Truth or Rey Mysterio to provide help to the fan-favorite superstars. Somehow, Kofi Kingston will manage to pull off the miracle to keep his Wrestlemania dream alive.
The Miz will break his silence on Shane McMahon’s shocking betrayal as confirmed by WWE.com. The Smackdown authority figure went ruckus on Miz following their loss to The Usos at WWE Fastlane. He did not even spare the A-Lister’s father is his hometown of Cleveland. So the recently turned babyface will not let go easy on Shane. He will go on to deliver verbal jabs which may continue to be a physical confrontation, too.
More title matches should get official from Smackdown at Wrestlemania. The women’s title match lineup is still due. If reports are to go by then Asuka might continue her feud with Mandy Rose even after Fastlane pay-per-view. With Sonya Deville also growing some bad blood with her buddy, it is likely that we have a triple threat matchup over the title. Some of the fans may not like it but it’s the best that the blue brand can offer, right now.
Also, Sasha Banks and Bayley will visit Smackdown Live to address the challenge issued by the IIconics. As per WWE.com, the team of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce might get a chance to compete for the women’s tag team title match,
“The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection have heard enough from Billie Kay & Peyton Royce, as they revealed on Raw that they’ll be in the house on SmackDown LIVE tonight. Will The IIconics stick to their words, or will Sasha Banks & Bayley make them regret every one of them?”
Another match should be set up over the United States championship. Samoa Joe has been continuing a multi-way feud featuring Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and R-Truth. It will be interesting to see whether all of the contenders get another chance at Wrestlemania to the mid-card title. Depending on this, a final bout between Mysterio and Andrade will happen at the biggest event of the year.
AJ Styles and Randy Orton will heat up their rivalry now that they are set to lock horns at Wrestlemania 35. More of the verbal jabs will continue for them since the WWE creative team will try to keep these two separate until the dream match happens. In the Smackdown tag team division, The Usos are still trying to find out their opponents. The Hardy Boyz is the favorite to get the opportunity to culminate another dream match.
